Crystals I Use Every Damn Day

Every day is different. It brings us different challenges, different lessons, different victories, and different defeats. It is sometimes daunting when you look at the plethora of crystals and minerals that our planet provides us with; each has its own unique properties and uses that selecting one to use can at times seem insurmountable. It's ok - just breath.

One thing I need to rant about on the topic of crystals: using the wrong one is not going to cause you to get sick, hurt you, or leave you standing in an open field gazing into a sky filled with flying pigs - anyone that tells you otherwise is full of shit - sorry, not sorry. Each one of us has different energies, different reactions, and different affinities towards crystals and for that very reason you should take any advice you read in a book, off a blog, hear in YouTube video, or even advice get from your local witchy shop with a grain of salt. It's just that - advice - and at the end of the day you should listen to your own body, feelings and energies and find what works best for you. Now - don't get me wrong - I'm not saying to disregard people who offer advice based upon experience, research, knowledge, and understanding - after all that is what I am offering here on this website and in all of the content I produce. I just want to make sure that at the end of the day you are listening to your inner self first and foremost.

So, now with that out of the way - lets get on to the list of crystals I use every day. I will include their general properties and uses and then discuss why I use it and what it does for me. Sources for their properties are cited at the very end of this post.

3 crystals I wear on my body every day:

1. Smokey Quartz

2. Blue Lace Agate

3. Amethyst

Smokey Quartz

Key Words: grounding, transmutation of negative energies, practicality, organization, manifestation of one's hopes and dreams.

Element: Earth

Chakras(s): Root (1st)

I have always been drawn to the beautiful deep dark smokey quartz variance. This crystal is THE penultimate grounding stone. I wear this crystal every day mostly because I am an empath and because of that I am very susceptible to picking up icky energies. Smokey quartz is fantastic at absorbing, transmuting, and grounding negative energies. I wear this crystal as a set of beads on a bracelet as you can see in the photograph.

Blue Lace Agate

Key Words: communication, clarity, confidence

Element: Water

Chakras(s): Throat (5th)

This is a stone I have recently started wearing for the purpose of helping to soothe my anxiety, and help me better express myself to my family and others. As a Tarot Reader, YouTuber, and Blogger this stone has really helped me organize my thoughts and convey them in a concise and meaningful way. Especially with Tarot I have really seen my readings become more coherent and fluid as this stone helps you not only communicate with others but also helps you communicate with your spirit guides.

Amethyst

Key Words: protection, purification, Divine connection, release of addictions

Element: Wind

Chakras(s): Third Eye (6th), Crown (7th), Etheric (8th and beyond, above the head)

This is a stone that almost everyone has encountered in their lives, it has been used by almost every culture on the planet and fashioned into just about every type of jewelry and adornment. It often appears in jewelry but for me I always keep Amethyst near by for its protective powers. This stone is often described as projecting a bubble of light that will surround and protect you from negativity and dark forces.

3 crystals I use everyday in my living space:

1. Selenite

2. Citrine

3. Celestite

Selenite

Key Words: spiritual activation, communication with the Higher Self, spirit guides and angels

Element: Wind

Chakras(s): Third Eye (6th), Crown (7th), Transpersonal and Etheric (8th through 14th, above the head)

Selenite is such a wonderful workhorse of a crystal. Firstly, it is a crystal that amplifies energies - which is why you often see it used as a wand. You can combine it with other crystals in order to enhance or focus their properties. It is also a wonderful crystal that helps to remove energetic and emotional blockages and garbage that are no longer needed. It is also often used to raise your consciousness in order to dive deeply into your thoughts or connect with your inner self.

Citrine

Key Words: Manifestation, personal will, mental clarity, creativity

Element: Fire

Chakra(s): Root (1st), Sexual/Creative (2nd), Solar Plexus (3rd)

This is one of my all time favorite cyrtals to work with. Being an Aries sun sign it just vibrates with my energies so well. It magnifies the aspects of me that I like to focus on - my creativity, my critical thinking, and manifestation.

"Much of our experiences on the Earth plan is gained from our attempts to transform our dreams and wishes into physical tangibility. This is the process of manifestation, creating form or experience from energetic blueprints of our thoughts, beliefs and desires."

Celestite

Key Words: Angelic communication, access to higher dimensions, serenity

Element: Wind

Chakras(s): Third Eye (6th), Crown (7th), Transpersonal and Etheric (8th through 14th, above the head)

This a stone I have only recently started working with specifically in my Tarot readings and spiritual practice. It is a uplifting crystal that helps to amplify positive energies. As you can see from its name the root comes from the world 'celestial' - this speaks directly to this stones ability to connect you to higher planes and the celestial and spiritual realms.

I hope that you have found this article informative and provoking. I would love to hear what crystals you wear and live with every day in the comments below. Crystals are not only beautiful - but science has proven that each one vibrates and gives off energies (http://www2.ess.ucla.edu/~schauble/Phonons.html). These are the energies that we can feel and work with. I encourage all of you to go out to your favorite rock shop and look for something new to work with and bring into your life. I have amassed a very nice collection and each one teaches me new things all the time.

Until next time, remember - everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about - so be kind. Always.
